Here at Warlord, we love producing Doctor Who miniatures for our ever-growing loyal customers. Since the launch of the range in 2016, our Into The Time Vortex collection has featured several Doctors, their companions and a menagerie of monsters and villains. Since the start of the year, every new boxed set now includes gaming cards for each character, allowing you to send them into battle in our Exterminate! miniatures game.
Our community Facebook page was set up for collectors to share painting tips, show off their figures and post battle reports from their Exterminate! games. We are mightily impressed by the painting skills and innovation of our supporters, so we thought we’d share with you some highlights from our member posts so far in 2018!
Chris Massey-Mortimer from New Zealand had the genius idea of converting one of our plastic Time War Daleks into an Ironside variant, from the 2010 story Victory of the Daleks, (complete with the iconic tea cup, naturally!)
Chris didn’t stop there. His awesome Dalek Caan custom is one of the best coversions we’ve ever seen on a Dalek figure. He achieved this by making cuts to the figure casing of a plastic Dalek, supergluing the ‘open’ sections to the skirt, before plugging the cavity with scrunched up aluminium foil to provide a base for the mutant sculpt to sit on. Chris used Tamiya 2 part epoxy to sculpt the Dalek mutant itself before adorning the finished conversion with a superb paint job.

Regular contributor and friend of Warlord Blax Kleric continues his Doctor Who blog every week, providing superb Exterminate! battle reports and has been known to produce some innovative figure conversions. A must read for fans of our range, you can check out his latest blog post at the following link.
Page regular Daniel Read from London has continued to impress with his superb paint jobs on our figures. Check out these pictures of his amazing work on our resin Doctors sets:
Daniel recently deployed some of his figures into an Exterminate! game at EXP in London, using the Meeting of Metal scenario:
Finally, we were mightily impressed by James D Smith from the USA who has painted several of our plastic Daleks in 1980s livery:
If you’d like to see your own conversions and painting skills on display in a forthcoming newsletter, we would love to see them! You can post your photos on our official Facebook Doctor Who page.
